Opinion Pieces​

Word Limit: Up to 750 words

Guidelines and Considerations:

  • Original Voice and Perspective: Your opinion piece should offer a distinct viewpoint on current or emerging issues, drawing on personal insights and scholarly perspectives.
  • Focused Argumentation: Ensure your piece centers around a well-defined thesis, with each paragraph reinforcing your main argument and avoiding unnecessary digressions.
  • Evidence and Context: When referencing facts, statistics, or expert opinions, please provide proper citations to strengthen your argument and uphold our commitment to accuracy.
  • Editorial Integrity: Submissions will undergo editorial review. While we respect your unique voice, our editors may adjust content for clarity, coherence, and brevity while preserving your core message.
  • Timeliness and Relevance: We value submissions that engage with current issues and contribute to ongoing academic and public discourse.

Articles​

Word Limit: Up to 1500 words

Guidelines and Considerations:

  • In-Depth Exploration: Articles should present a well-researched, comprehensive analysis of a topic, whether through investigative reporting or detailed examination of scholarly issues.
  • Structured Narrative: Use a clear structure that includes an introduction, logically organized sections with headings or subheadings, and a conclusive summary tying together your main points.
  • Rigorous Research: Substantiate your work with credible sources and data. Proper attribution and thorough citation are required to maintain trust and accountability.
  • Balanced Reporting: While analytical or opinionated perspectives are welcome, aim to present multiple sides of an issue where relevant, reflecting the balanced approach of academic inquiry.
  • Editorial Process: Your article will be reviewed for factual accuracy, clarity, and logical coherence. Our editorial team may request revisions to ensure it meets Academic Observer’s standards.

News Items​

  • Brevity and Clarity: News submissions must be succinct and to the point. Each word should contribute to conveying essential details—who, what, when, where, and why—in a clear manner.
  • Fact-Based Reporting: Our news items should present verified, timely information without bias or opinion.
  • Precision: Given the strict word limit, every detail must be essential. Our editorial team may make slight adjustments to enhance clarity while preserving your intended message.

  • No Personal Attacks or Hate Speech: We will not accept any submission that contains personal attacks, hate speech, or any content intended to demean or incite hostility toward individuals or groups.
  • No Promotion of Discrimination or Violence: Submissions that promote discrimination, violence, or any form of harmful behavior are strictly prohibited.
  • Upholding Respect: All content should contribute positively to academic and public discourse, reflecting our commitment to ethical standards and mutual respect.

General Submission Instructions:​

  • Formatting: Please submit your manuscript in a digital format (PDF or Word) with standard formatting guidelines such as double-spacing and standard margins.

  • Originality: All submissions must be original and unpublished work. Plagiarized content will be rejected.

  • Review Process: Submissions will be evaluated by our editorial team. We may contact you for revisions to ensure the final piece aligns with our editorial standards and ethical guidelines.

  • Use of AI and LLM: Our policy permits authors to employ AI and large language models as tools in the drafting process. However, the accuracy of every fact, figure, and statement is the exclusive responsibility of the submitter. We categorically require that all content be meticulously verified by a human, and any oversight or error resulting from reliance on AI is solely the submitter's liability.
